At last...some proper summer weather!

The last two days here have been BEAUTIFUL, and the kids and I have made the most of it! We spent the majority of yesterday and today at the sea...have I mentioned before that I love the ocean? = ) A wonderful time was had by all, and we all came home pinker than when we left, with sand between our toes, and very happy!

DAY #1 at the Beach - Monday, July 30th

Here for two months, and only now my 1st dip (and a tiny one at that!) into the Atlantic Ocean! (I got a lot braver later on, and got much wetter, but no proof on camera of that!)

Have I mentioned that I think the southern coast of Ireland is beautiful??

All this...only a five minute drive!

Harvey was so excited to see the horse...I actually was a bit enchanted as well!

Cormac - giving me the sign that the water isn't too cold! Yeah, right! (This picture was taken in the morning, when the tide was way out. We were back out at the beach the same afternoon again, and the tide had come in quite a bit. The cool water over the warm sand felt very nice.)

Doesn't this remind you of Peter Pan's shadow?

Harvey wasn't as impressed with the wet sand as Cormac and I were!

Just because he is in his wellies doesn't mean he is going to get them wet...Harvey is all boy most of the time, but the waves scare him. He preferred to watch them from a distance, while Cormac and I played in the water.

Brotherly love - Cormac helping Harvey wipe the sand off his hands

Serious concentration required!

Granny Opal joined us for the afternoon, as did Becca with Brian, Kayla and Killian

DAY #2 at the Beach - Tuesday, July 31st

Cormac

Baby Shirley's 1st trip to the beach! (10 days old!) - Olwyn brought the girls down for the last bit of our day

Rhia wasn't so impressed with the sand, but was content to hang out on the blanket and eat crisps (chips)

What day at the beach is complete without someone being buried in the sand?
