Kitty has a name!

Kitty Cat now has a name! "Puisin" pronounced "Pu-sheen"...which is Irish and means "kitten". Rather appropriate, given she has spent a month being called Kitty Cat. Alec and his room-mate are not the biggest fans of the name...they are currently insisting on calling her "Pud". Whatever works, I guess!

August already...jeepers.

Time to catch up again...here are a few fun pictures from this summer. = )

4th of July - San Fran

Alec and I - San Fran

Becky and Greg Hermanski

Silverwood Amusement Park - Idaho

Left to right: Joel Shroyer, Jacob Shorten (of the Ireland Shortens!), Chelsey Shroyer, Me, Katie, Matt, and Lindsey Shroyer

The following pics were taken at Lake Trinity...a group of us rented a houseboat for a week and enjoyed the sunshine and the water and the company.

Houseboat stunt...how many people can we get up behind one boat? Answer: a lot!
Alec - showing off his fancy skiing

Me showing off my "fancy" skiing - I got up. It was an accomplishment!

My patient boat driver...

Learning to wakeboard

Ty and Janelle heading out on an adventure...

Matt and Brittany

Alec and I

The kitty in these next pictures followed Alec and I back to his house after we went walking one evening. Apparently she has decided she likes us, because she hasn't left since then, over 2 weeks ago. Thus far, she remains unnamed, but I'm working on that. For now, she is simply Kitty Cat.

A few more pictures from Chelan, courtesy of Alec's mama. = )

Still debating as to whether or not you can tell he has his fingers digging into my ribs at this point...

However, this is our other option...

Alec, him mom (Sharolyn) and April

Alec with Howard and Pearl Tisher

Alec and I, Mom and Dad, and Marjorie

The Portland/Vancouver crowd minus Alec and I - I was very busy holding Baby Duncan and missed out. They decided that Alec couldn't be in the picture without his better half...knowing him, he wasn't terribly upset about such a decision!

Until next time... = )

One more picture...my 1st meeting with little Duncan DeOliveira at Chelan. His big sister, his mommy and his daddy have all been my good buddies, so I'm pretty certain he and I are destined to be too.

It 'twas the eve before school was out and all through the house...Miss Huddle was grinning and cheering with glee. (She also can't rhyme, but isn't terribly concerned about such things right now, because she is done with report cards!) Seemed like as good as time as any to quickly most a few pictures from the last couple of months. Without further ado, a random sampling!

My little porch "garden" = )

The "girls" - it had been awhile since we'd been together, and the photographer was having a hard time getting us to stop talking...

We did finally manage to get our act together!

Alec and one tired looking teacher at Chelan

Ashlee's graduation party - Jeff and Nikki and adorable boys, Tia, Ashlee, Krindee and I

Rian, Krindee, Emily (on my lap), Ermina and I - Rian and the little girls were singing hymns in Swahili, while Krindee and I sang the same one in English = )

Matt's current ride - pulling up to Grampa's house on Mother's Day! = )

San Francisco

I was on spring break last week - and I spent it (surprise, surprise!) with Alec in Sacramento. The weather was perfect and we enjoyed having a whole week together, rather than just a hectic weekend. = ) We spent the weekend before I had to fly home in San Francisco, with Greg and Becky. On Friday night, the 4 of us went and saw "Grease", which was a blast.

Saturday morning - we took a quick hike up the hill behind Greg and Becky's house...yes, that is the Golden Gate Bridge you see in the background.

Saturday afternoon - I roped Alec into showing me around the city. We stumbled across some places he had never seen before...it was pretty much all new to me! Very fun, sun-shiney, happy day!

Ahh...there was a heart in the rocks!

On Saturday evening, Greg and Becky had a BQ, so we got to spend some time with more of the young friends in the San Fran area.

Sunday morning on Greg and Becky's deck...their view is absolutely amazing.

Every time...he has to do something every time! = )
