Christmas Pics

Christmas in the Huddle house...kind of a crazy thing!! It was really fun to be home for the holidays...I know I would have been very homesick if I'd stayed in Ireland. However, I was also "homesick" thinking of everyone in Ireland celebrating their holidays! = ) If only I could be in two places at the same time....

The ONLY reason I've included this photo (which was taken on Christmas Eve, when we were STILL trying to get all our holiday decorations up) is because of my T-shirt. It has a shamrock on it, and says "Better luck next time." = )

Showing Grampa Vic Ireland pictures on Christmas morning....

And the madness of Christmas cookies...Janelle and Susie came over for Christmas afternoon, and us girls had a blast together again!

Sisterly love

Yes, I do look like I'm about to hit her with the spatula! Why? Can't remember exactly, but I'm sure she deserved it!!

What do you think of Kate's new glasses?? Are they a keeper??

After the making of the cookies, it was time to relax with cups of hot chocolate and play Mad Gab. = )

Katie being her glamourous self!

Deception Pass on Christmas Eve

Wow...2 posts in one week...I'm starting to get on top of this again! = ) The following picture was taken at Fred Meyer Starbucks. Krindee, Tim, William, Matt, Kate and I met up there after meeting in Marysville, before they headed south and we headed north.

The next group of MANY pictures were taken at Deception Pass...William and I spent Christmas Eve day exploring the area. It had been ages since I was last out there, so it was nice to be back. And we had perfect weather...it was COLD and WINDY, but bright and sunny!

Food and coffee break in La Conner - most of the shops weren't open since it was Christmas Eve, so I'll have to go back and explore more at a later date! = )

Notice the flag on the boat? - One thing I've noticed since coming home from Ireland, and one thing William commented on too, was that Americans display our flag a lot more than what you see in other countries. I think that is kind of neat!

More again soon!! Luv, Alissa

Finally...a new post!! = )

I'm FINALLY getting this blog updated! I've been so busy settling in that I've been neglecting it dreadfully! Sorry...hopefully I still have some loyal followers out there. = )

Over Christmas vacation, William came to visit, and we did our best to show him "everything" in 11 days!! (We didn't quite make it to everything, but we sure gave it a good try.) The result is that we took A LOT of pictures, so now I have something to post again. = ) It'll take a few postings to get them up, so you'll have something to look forward to!

This set of pics is from Saturday, Dec. 22nd. Mom, Dad, William and I set off on a bit of an artic adventure across the North Cascade Pass. (You can't actually go all the way through, since the pass closes for the winter, but we went nearly as far as we could.) I was very excited to set foot in the snow.

Notice all the eagles?? At one point, we could see 15 from where we were sitting inside the Trailblazer!

Time out for food in Marblemount....
And this took longer than I'd planned, so better be all for tonight! More coming soon!
