Given up yet?

Finally. Some pictures and news from my corner of the world!

Life is busy here! Those 4th graders are keeping me hopping these days! Hard to believe we are already in our 5th month of school! Time flies! Violin lessons are coming along nicely as well. I think I'm past the squeaky stage...that has to be progress anyway!

I am also still spending a fair amount of time in Sacramento these days. Alec was up here to meet my family at Thanksgiving and I flew down there and got to meet his parents at Christmas time. These pics are from Christmas break with him. = ) It was a fun two weeks! I actually just dropped him off at the airport after a weekend of sking/snowshoeing in Bend. Now I won't see him until Valentine's Day weekend...that sounds like a long 24 days until then! I suppose I will survive...somehow... = )

Alec and I = )
Alec and I trying out my new toy...my brand new espresso machine!!
Alec and I and his parents (Jim and Sharolyn Smidt) at a production of Stomp
Dinner at Jack and Nancy Paddon's house...Alec goes to their house for Sunday morning meeting.

Looking at Alec's baby pictures...

My mom sent stockings for Alec and I to open on Christmas Day...I got a Grow-a-Frog, and Alec acquired some new fish. = )

Alec and his dad - we did some decorating while I was there. Put up curtains, hung mirrors, bought pictures, etc.

Alec bought these new pictures for his living room wall while I was there.

My espresso machine, all set up in my kitchen! Pretty sweet set-up, isn't it?

And this is the delicious treat that my new toy produces... = )

My roomies must have missed me...they decorated my room with cut-out bananas while I was in Sacramento over Christmas break.

An up-close picture of the banana decorating.

My first violin concert. = )

On the third Thursday of every month, a crew of us kids get together and try out a new resturant in Portland. This particular resturant was an Ethiopian resturant.

Another Thursday dinner...this time at a resturant of my choice. We went to Kells, an Irish resturant!

Rian and I at Kells

Portland bridges at night...after eating dinner at Kells, we walked along the river. Pretty, isn't it?

Did you like Stomp? Kent and I saw it in Bakersfield and loved it! Amazing what you can do with trash cans and sinks! etc., etc.
